We've had a lovely morning here at school celebrating the moon festival. Traditionally, Vietnamese parents tell their children fairy tales and serve moon cakes and other special treats under the silvery moon. There are various versions of the story and each child seems to have a different reason for celebrating. We all came in to school dressed in the local dress, ao dai. The children performed songs and paraded with the lanterns they had made. A lovely first experience of the moon festival!
